- Jason Alexander, Stan's current voice actor, played the role of humanized Cosmo in the first live-action Fairly OddParents! movie "A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!". Daran Norris, Cosmo's voice actor, was the previous voice of Stan in the Oh Yeah! Cartoons short "The Zappys!".
- Stan's appearance was partially inspired by George Costanza from the sitcom Seinfeld, who was portrayed by Jason Alexander.
- Stan's duck disguise is a reference to Duckman from the cartoon series of the same name, who is also voiced by Jason Alexander.
- Stan, along with Jorgen, is one of the few fairies who doesn't have eye pupils, with his eyes looking similar to humans.
